Home Again, Home Again Jiggity Jig

This weekend I went camping with my foster brother Miky and my foster parents. Miky said I would have fun and I did. He also said that camping was synonymous with rain and it was. My foster Dad says I ride really well in the car. I don’t know what that means but, I sure like riding in the car. We ate outside and walked on trails. Miky is a tall fawn brindle with sad eyes. I am a sweet small black hound with happy brown eyes and cute ears. I hope to go camping again real soon but, I am glad to be home. I still like the regular routine of our day at home. Miky says he was that way when he first found his ‘forever home’.

I am usually, the first to wake up. Miky, my Foster Mom and I go for a walk in the morning. While we are on our walk the food fairy comes. Breakfast is oh so good. Then Miky and I take a nap. We walk again in the evening. Sometimes we go to Piedmont Park. I think Miky is correct - routine is nice. But, sometimes new adventures like camping are really awesome. I don’t know that I will go camping when I find my ‘forever home’. I really hope - whatever the activities in my ‘forever home’ - I will get to be a part of the action.

The Three Amigos.

These are my friends Miky and Barley. Miky, my foster brother, is the tall handsome one to my right. Barley, my new friend, is the cute short one to my left. I am the sweet black one in the middle with the pretty blue leash. When Miky and I visited Barley, we walked at least twice every day. I love to go for walks.

Sometimes I get scared. There are so many new things I never saw from my crate at the track. Like Barley's chickens. When I first saw Barley's chickens they squawked so loud they must have been as scared of me as I was of them. But, my foster Mom petted me gently and whispered in my ear. She told me, I didn't need to be scared, nothing bad was going to happen and that I was such a good boy. I like whispers in my ear and pets even better than treats. What I want most when I find my 'forever home' is someone who will whisper loving encouraging words in my ear when I am scared of new sights and sounds. My foster Mom says next we are going to work on not being scared of people on bicycles and in-line skates. They all whiz by so fast that I haven’t gotten use to them yet. But, I know I will real soon with the whispers in my ear.Woofie Wag

I found a foster family!

I came to stay with my foster family on August 31. I love playing with my foster brother Miky. He and I have so much fun together. Miky and I went to visit Barley over Labor Day. We played and walked and had so much fun. Barley and Miky are teaching me how to jump in the suburban and climb stairs.

When I came to stay with my foster family, I weighed just a little too much. But, my foster family feeds me well and I get plenty of exercise. So, my weight is just perfect even with the nighttime snacks I love. My foster Mom has my bedtime snack ready for me now and I need to go. I'll be back real soon with another update - Woofie Wag
